Woodside RTS 2025
OVERVIEW
The Woodside stand at the 2025 Resources Technology Showcase (RTS) transformed the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre into a hub of discovery and innovation.
Across three days, close to 10,000 attendees — including thousands of school-aged students — had the chance to explore cutting-edge technology and learn how Woodside is shaping the future of energy. The stand stood out as one of the most engaging and interactive spaces at RTS, sparking curiosity and conversations at every turn.
OBJECTIVE & CHALLENGE
The primary goal for RTS 2025 was to design an exhibition stand tailored for younger audiences, making Woodside’s value chain and technology both accessible and exciting.
The challenge lay in balancing technical detail with interactivity. We needed to create an educational experience that could capture the imagination of school students while still showcasing the depth of Woodside’s innovation to teachers, parents, and industry visitors.
INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION
Our solution was to turn the stand into an immersive, hands-on learning environment.
Visitors could watch demonstrations of Spot the Dog — Woodside’s robotic helper on site — and the Hummingbird drone, used to monitor operations. A magnetic table illustrated the evolution of sensors, showing how they attach to machinery in a way that was fun and tactile. To tie it all together, a large, brightly designed lightbox displayed the entire value chain, turning complex processes into something visually engaging and easy to follow.
To encourage active participation, we introduced a quiz activity: attendees who completed a short form and answered four questions were entered into the draw for an exclusive tour of the Woodside Technology Lab. This interactive element ensured that visitors weren’t just passive spectators, but active learners.
Behind the scenes, our team handled client and stakeholder management, venue coordination, supplier oversight, crew management, and risk planning — ensuring the bump-in and bump-out ran smoothly despite the scale of the showcase.
RESULTS & SUCCESS
The result? One of the most talked-about stands of APEA 2025.
With over 3,000 attendees visiting across the three days, the Woodside space became a go-to destination for coffee catchups, casual networking, and evening drinks. The thoughtful layout and warm design made it stand out in a sea of traditional booths, while subtly reinforcing Woodside’s values of innovation, sustainability, and human connection.
We’re proud to have helped bring this vision to life — proving once again that when design meets purpose, even the busiest exhibition halls can feel like home.
