Revealed Art Market

OVERVIEW

Following a highly successful relocation in 2025, the iconic Revealed Art Market returned on April 18, 2026, to celebrate the incredible wealth of Indigenous creativity from across Western Australia. Hosted at the spectacular WA Museum Boola Bardip, the event transformed the heart of Perth’s cultural precinct into a bustling, vibrant marketplace.

Over an immersive single-day event, approximately 5,000 attendees gathered to connect directly with First Nations artists, experience live cultural demonstrations, and acquire ethical, authentic artwork.

OBJECTIVE & CHALLENGE

The primary objective for AACHWA (Aboriginal Art Culture Hub of WA) was to deliver a world-class, expansive art market that built upon the previous year's success.

The challenge was structural and spatial: seamlessly integrating a large-scale, high-foot-traffic community market with the daily operations of a functioning major museum. The layout required rigorous planning over a six-month period to ensure fluid visitor movement, optimize commercial opportunities for remote and regional art centers, and create an atmosphere that encouraged attendees to linger, engage, and connect deeply with the artists.

INNOVATION & IMPLEMENTATION

To unlock the full potential of the venue, our strategy focused on expansive spatial design and premium hospitality integrations, creating a true festival-style ecosystem.

  • Spatial Transformation: We fully utilized the museum's outdoor City View Room, meticulously designing a layout that housed robust stall marquees, live art demonstration spaces, seating zones, and a main stage.

  • Precinct Expansion: Recognizing the event's growing scale, we expanded the footprint into the Perth Cultural Centre, introducing a larger secondary stage and enhanced seating to accommodate the crowds.

  • Curated Food & Beverage: To increase dwell time and elevate the visitor experience, we introduced a dedicated food precinct featuring four curated food trucks with ample seating. We also brought in our trusted coffee partner, Margaret River Roasting Company, running a high-volume coffee cart throughout the day.

  • Museum Synergy: Working hand-in-hand with the WA Museum team, we engineered a brilliant cross-pollination flow. The seamless transition between the market stalls and the museum entry allowed thousands of attendees to naturally drift back and forth, maximizing exposure for both the market and the indoor exhibits.

RESULTS & SUCCESS

The 2026 Revealed Art Market solidified its reputation as a premier event on the Western Australian cultural calendar.

  • Attendance: ~5,000 passionate art lovers and community members.

  • Commercial Success: Stall holders overwhelmingly reported that the location was spectacular, with art sales heavily exceeding their initial expectations.

  • Operational Excellence: Over a rigorous six-month planning timeline, our team flawlessly executed full client, venue, risk, and supplier management—including a complex bump-in and bump-out schedule—to deliver an empowering platform for Indigenous art and stories.
